THE SON OF ARTISTS 

Andrew Tichner was born in Texas in 1983, an Australian artist who paints world's magnificance and imposing landscapes like kimberly, Pilbara, Murray River region, Great Ocean road, Flinder Ranges and the USA. Since childhood Tichler excited the Western Artists with his immense talent and over the last 15 years permeate through East Coast where he now resides and also the US where he was born.His father Tom enlightened Tichler's interest toward nature and his artistic talent. Tom Tischler is an internationally renowned wildlife sculptor who have worked in bronze.

“I am passionately obsessive about painting.  My life’s mission is to paint the landscapes of the world, and to celebrate the creatures and people that inhabit them.”

INSPIRATION:

Up-close and personal

Since 21 Andrew is earning living painting full time. While he was still studying his Fine Arts degree at Curtin WA in 2002 engulfed himself in nature and travel, with a goal to capture world's most harsh and beautiful landscapes, people and creatures in his paintings. Andrew has also touched the hearts of hundreds of budding artists during his tours and art workshops. 

Growing up Tichler developed a great interest for beautiful and unique landscapes flora and fauna of Western Australia, having migrated there when he was ten. Since then he has made a great deal for traveling to explore the amazing talent and to experience the beauty world has to offer.

Tichler strives to make the most from the nature while immersing himself in environment. Often finding a way leading to diverse and majestic landscapes of Murray River region, Great Ocean road, Queensland and Pilbara while celebrating  others talent along the way through attending many exhibitions.

In past few years, returned to New Zealand several times where he resides from the age 6-10, and traveled North and South Islands, paintings, sketching and photographing. Every new adventure inspires him to demonstrate the God's creation on canvas.

“I absolutely love to paint, Im inspired by it all! 

To master my craft and share the process with others is my life's mission.” 

CAREER AND TRIUMPHS

Although he primarily works on landscapes he also dives into portraits and evasive spirit of those who makes time and sit for him.

“I am trying to capture something in the essence of the person, and set up a dynamic between the painted subject and the viewer. There is a conversation between the two without words being exchanged.”

Before completing his bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, in 2002 Tichler hosted his first ever Solo exhibition High Tide’ at Heathcote Cultural Centre. His all paintings were sold before even closing the show. 

Tichler has hosted several group exhibition and four Solo exhibitions. These events are sparse as his artpieces are immediately sold as these are painted. He celebrated his anniversary of first solo exhibition with retrospective in 2012.

Now he paints almost solely on commission.

This journey of being a youtuber started from 2016, he was eager to share what he has gained through years of toil. This channel has grown over 468K subscribers and he's dedicated to teach more then ever.

“I have passion for teaching, I love to pass on what I have gathered from years pf research and experimentation in studio.”

His obsession with realist paintings has led him to study many great artists and understand how they've made such wonders.

Currently resides in Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand along with his wife, where they create videos for his YouTube channel with in-depth tutorials and run the studio producing artwork for his collectors. He dives into the material used in paintings and how to wield them with mastery. He even features content specifically designed to help people along with questions and answers videos.
